Feng Hou’s groundbreaking efforts in blockchain have earned him the Blockchain for Education Vision Award! Feng was recognized at the Blockchain Essentials and Education Event May 16, 2018 at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma for his forward thinking implementation of blockchain technology in his role as Chief Information Officer and Chief Digital learning Officer at Central New Mexico Community College, as well as being founder of the Albuquerque Blockchain Alliance.

By leading the initiative to implement a student-owned digital certificate and degree solution, Feng made CNM the first community college in the nation to use blockchain technology to provide digital credentials to its students. Additionally, he’s expanding the scope of application within CNM by working on use cases focused on creating a universal student ID, applications to allow students to micromanage their educational experience and create a stackable micro-credentialing solution to certify student soft skills, and also utilizing smart contracts to manage faculty credit hour based pay.

His expertise and innovative thinking are great benefit to Optipulse. Congratulations, Feng!
